Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
The P&C is a separate body to the school and is made up of volunteer parents, guardians, carers, grandparents and other community members who are passionate about creating a positive school community through:
- Fundraising initiatives
- Event coordination
- Supplementary services
All of these activities promote a sense of school community and enrich the schooling experience for students and families.
Examples of popular events include End of Year/Christmas Markets, Mother’s Day Pop-Up Shop, Dad’s and Kids Camp Out, Student Disco, Book Bazaar, and Carnival Cake Stall.
Getting involved with our P&C is a rewarding and fun experience that enables you to connect with the wider school community to influence projects that benefit your children.
Anyone can join the P&C and any level of involvement is welcome. Your involvement can range from:
- being an Office Bearer, taking on a position on the P&C
- helping to run events and activities
- giving us your ideas for fundraising, events and/or projects
- just attending our P&C meetings to see what goes on
The P&C’s financial support provides extra resources and opportunities that would otherwise be unavailable. At the start of each year, our Principal and the P&C discuss the school’s funding requests and considers suggestions from P&C members and the wider community at how to enrich the school environment.
We encourage anyone to come along to learn more at our Annual General Meeting held in Term 1 of each year. Details of meetings are published in the school newsletter.
