Learn, enjoy and have fun
Term 2 2021
Term 2 begins with two highlights of the school year: our ANZAC service on the first Friday closely followed by the Year 6 camp in Week 3. NAPLAN testing for Year 3 and Year 5 students begins in Week 4. Our fortnightly assemblies return to being held in the school hall and, later in the term, students in Years 2-6 will have the wonderful experience of watching the Bell Shakespeare company’s performance of ‘Romeo & Juliet’. Sporting activities continue with interschool soccer, football and netball carnivals and our faction cross-country carnival on the last Friday will bring Term 2 to a close.
The development of the Nature Play areas is a project that the P&C and the school have worked on for a number of years. The project has involved an extended development process by the Grounds Committee which comprised of staff and P&C members as well as interested parents. Phase one was completed in October 2017 and Phase two is underway.
Welcome to South Perth Primary School – where students are engaged in a wide range of exciting and challenging programs. Our school creates opportunities for children to develop academically, physically, creatively, socially and emotionally. Since 1898, the school has delivered quality education programs for the children of South Perth. Our motto, ‘Faith in Learning’ reflects the community’s belief that a first-class education will enable students to achieve future success. The school community provides a safe, caring and supportive environment in which parents, teachers and support staff work together to provide outstanding learning opportunities for our students.
