South Perth Primary School
Faith in Learning
Learn, enjoy and have fun
Term 3 2020
As WA is still in Phase 4 of the COVID-19 recovery plan and social distancing is required, parents are asked to refrain from entering classrooms before and after school without a prearranged appointment. To ensure parents still feel connected with their child’s learning, teachers will use a number of strategies that may include:
- Connect Notices outlining the learning program.
- Samples of students’ work sent home for parents to view.
- Opportunities for parents to volunteer as helpers in the classroom.
- A roster which enables a small number of parents to visit the classroom before school.
Parents are encouraged to continue communicating with teachers and the school via email or a handwritten note. Please remember that all parents are welcome to request an interview with the classroom teacher. Interviews will be held at a mutually convenient time.
The development of the Nature Play areas is a project that the P&C and the school have worked on for a number of years. The project has involved an extended development process by the Grounds Committee which comprised of staff and P&C members as well as interested parents. Phase one was completed in October 2017 and Phase two is underway.
Welcome to South Perth Primary School – where students are engaged in a wide range of exciting and challenging programs. Our school creates opportunities for children to develop academically, physically, creatively, socially and emotionally. Since 1898, the school has delivered quality education programs for the children of South Perth. Our motto, ‘Faith in Learning’ reflects the community’s belief that a first-class education will enable students to achieve future success. The school community provides a safe, caring and supportive environment in which parents, teachers and support staff work together to provide outstanding learning opportunities for our students.
